Oh My Goodness Gracious….

The title is a polite and Christian way to say
%$#@#$%$#

I have been trying to add a FB Like button over many hours covering not just today
 but MANY days.

I have used five different tutorials
found the right HTML code
pasted the XFMB code where I was told
and

NOTHING

I have resorted to
wine
chocolate cake
therapeutic furniture sanding
mad episodes of cooking
yelling at kids
pounding my head on my new
(really cute)
farmhouse table desk
lambasting myself for being stupid
cursed Steve Jobs
(may he rest in peace)
decided to quit blogging
decided to keep blogging
decided to delete my FB business page
decided to keep my FB business page

and wasted COUNTLESS HOURS ON THIS!

All I have succeeded in doing is eliminating the font I was using for my title
which I can’t seem to restore.
Thanks goodness that’s the only damage I’ve done.

Good Lord have mercy and
give me a feather quill pen!

Out to the garage for more therapy!

  1. This is a funny post. Well not for you maybe. Yesterday I made a BlissRanch facebook page. I didn’t go any further cause I just don’t understand why someone would read my blog and facebook. I’m to old to “get it”. I know there is a reason it works but I need it explained to me why I should have the FB page I now have! I know you can like me and I can like you, but we do that here, so what is the reason we do that there too? One of the blog goddess’s should do a explanation post about fb for idiots like me.

  2. Hi! Oh I feel bad for you – I haven’t been blogging all that long either and sometimes it amazes me how techy you need to be. I have built complete websites in other programs and found that easier than Blogger. You would think that they would have simple steps for these common things like Facebook etc. There is no good reason for it to be this difficult. (No offence blogger if you see this but you kind of suck)!! It amazes me that so many people choose Blogger at all. Wow listen to me rant and rave lol. Anyway I’m sorry I don’t have any great advice for you but I often find the answers I need on other peoples tutorials. Good luck and chin up – I really enjoy your blog so don’t give up!

  3. I appreciate your emotional support! I am working in the garage and trying to forget….

  4. Oh, I’m so sorry. I don’t have a like button, so I’m not sure how to help. Even my regular Facebook icon is acting weird. I just ignore it. lol I know you’ll figure it out.

  5. oh Lorraine!! so sorry, and I can so feel your pain! I would hate to know the number of hours I have sat at the computer and tried to figure something out for the blog. It’s all so confusing, isn’t it?! Looks like you got it done though, so YAY for you!!!

    best,
    joan
