Thursday Shopper #15

Good Morning Dahlings!!

Welcome to Thursday Shopper
I never tire of finding lovely things for you to look at!

Today I am so thrilled to show you two fabulous finds at the thrift!

First is this chair….

A lovely boudoir chair with a heart shaped back!

A lovely blue shade. The upholstery is perfect!

The ruched detail along the back is lovely!

But, what is that just behind the chair?

Here’s a peek….

Have you guessed?
A vintage prom dress!
I was alone when I found it and I had to not squeal out loud!!

I have dreamed of finding one of these ever since I saw Rachel Ashwell’s first book!

The detail on the skirt is velvet leaves and roses

I let Coco try it on

I’m a happy girl today!!!

  5. I love reading your blog you always make me laugh. Oh I love the chair and the gown but your humor is what keeps me coming back.

  6. Two great finds! Congratulations!

  7. Oh goodness what beautiful finds this week! I love Coco’s beautiful new dress. I am currently looking for a Coco of my own – I think my creative space is just yelling for a dress form to finish her off in style!

  8. The chair is pretty and that prom dress is gorgeous! You have such a good eye. I would NOT have been able to stay quiet, a squeal would have escaped me for sure. Thank you for your visit and kind comment on my nightstands turned kitchen island on my blog. Such a sweetie!

  9. Lorraine, Both of your finds are super squeal worthy! When I find something fabulous I have to tell myself to keep cool, keep cool. Then I squeal my head off in the car.:) I don’t know if I could have held it that long with your great finds though.

  10. It’s so foofoo and pretty! I tried squeezing my dressmaker’s form into one of our daughter’s pink vintage prom dresses, but I couldn’t get it zipped. I begged, but she just wouldn’t “suck it in”. :@

  11. Wonderful finds. The prom dress is beautiful!
