A Little Cloverleaf Table

I found this little cloverleaf table not too long ago…
maybe two, three ,  OK, OK a few months ago…..
unfortunately that is “not too long ago” in Miss Flibb speak….
I have a sideboard buried in the garage that is one year old
and an armoire back in there that is 1 1/2 yrs old….sigh…

Honestly, I AM truly trying to finish the pieces I have but I keep finding great deals and getting more!

I kept walking past this little table and trying to hear what it wanted to be…
Yes, my furniture speaks to me and I listen too…..
That’s how the little hymn table turned out so nice…remember?

At first I thought cloverleaf wanted to be nautical. I looked for the perfect nautical thing to put on the top that would look right with the shape…
no luck….

Then, when I was downloading the pictures for the MMS Milk Paint to add to my color chart….
I kept seeing that little twining vine thing she painted on the Mustard Seed Yellow Chest and the Typewriter chest….and I thought…
“That’s it!” The shape is perfect for that!

First two coats of ASCP Duck Egg Blue

Then I drew on and painted the design with a linen colored acrylic paint

I did a bit on the side too…

Then a bit of sanding and waxing…

All done!

It doesn’t even look bad next to that French chair I did earlier…even though the chair is gray….I like it!

A nice easy project!
Now for this one…..

It’s been talking to me….maybe it will be ready by Monday!

  5. How’d you do that? The paint viney thing and get your furniture to talk to you?
